Global Arts
GAO students “travel” to a new country each week, exploring art, music, dancing, folk tales, creative writing, poetry, drama, games, language and yummy snacks from all around the world.
GAO launched in the fall of ’06 and is now in over 40 elementary schools in VA, MD and Washington, DC!
The curriculum takes travelers to over 90 places in their world!
This program launched with great success the Sidwell Friends School in Washington, DC during their ’07 summer camp. Now due to popular demand it is available at schools and camps during the year. Click on the album on the pics page to see Noodle-Go-Green in action!
*Turn trash into treasure- create spectacular recycled sculptures, toys,
mosaics, sun catchers and sports equipment.
*Design personalized reusables like you very own thermos
and a vegetable dye printed shopping bag.
*Exercise, relax, focus, and strengthen our bodies/minds/spirits through yoga.
*Experience a “green” community in action: Hybrid cars, local farming,
Pedals for Progress, And much, much more!
*In Australia, travelers will learn about the history of Aboriginal cultural and the history of dot painting!
*The trip to India will provide a glimpse of the Rakhi Festival which honors the sacred bond between brothers and sisters!
*Traveling to Germany will introduce children to the works of the brothers Grimm and The history of fairy tales!
All travelers receive a passport and a weekly parent letter with at home activities to expand their learning!

An eco-amazing after school program that explores and enjoys the beauty of the earth’s natural resources through the arts, science, movement, and games.
Global Arts-MiniTravelerS
Pre-schoolers 3-5 years old zoom around the world exploring art, music, dancing, folk tales, creative responses, geography, poetry, drama, games, and language in a specially designed, developmentally appropriate curriculum they are sure to love!
Registrations:
These classes take place through a school’s, PTA’s or other facilities regular after-school enrichment registration process. Please check to see if your school has the program.
